Folding Knife: SOG

There is one brand of knife that is on the duty belts of more Special Forces operators than most any other, on missions all around the globe. That brand is SOG. SOG is actually an acronym that originally stood for Studies and Observation Group, which was an elite, joint-services, military group that was
tasked with performing special operations, recon patrols, and intelligence gathering during the Viet Nam war. It was during this era that SOG knives initially became extremely popular among elite military operators
such as the Navy Seals, the Army Special Forces, and Marine Long Range Reconnaissance (LRRPS), due to the fact that SOG knives are purposely created, from drawing board to milling lathe, to be used in some of the harshest conditions on planet Earth.  At SOG, they believe that details make the difference between magic and mediocrity; that the whole can become greater than the sum of the parts. It shows in each knife. For that reason, the engineers at SOG are constantly striving to make even the tiniest detail even better, and for over 20 years, they’ve been shattering the status quo by never settling for the ordinary.
