I purchased a Mosquito for use as a learning tool for the kids. While Sig''s motto is to hell and back reliability, that was not the case for me. Upon shooting it for the first time, I immediately encountered failures to feed, a couple partial ejection failures, and one failure to fire. Not a good first impression! I tried various ammo brands trying to determine if ammo was to blame. CCI stingers,Remington Copper jacketed, Magtech, American Arms, all jammed or failed to feed. I immediately sent the gun back to Sig. The service department was terrific, however, they did admit to many problems with the Mosquito. They found a burr on the breachface,and replaced the extractor with no charge to me. However,I would never recommend the gun to anyone.Mine is now a dust collector in the safe, as I would never pawn it off on an unsuspecting buyer. Buy a Ruger, Browning,Colt, or Walther. I also have a 239 in .40 cal that has been virtually trouble free. I now use that as my primary concealed carry pistol. A word to anyone considering the Mosquito....don''t!

i can hollow out the center of a target at 20 yards... very acurate... no problems with ammo yet

The pistol is very picky on the type of ammo you buy and it takes about 1000 rounds to get it broke in good. the best ammo i have found is the Federal 22 long rifle Target Grade it comes in boxes of 325 after changing to this round i have not had a misfire or jam. Out of the box it is very accurate, ten rounds in about a six inch group. be patient with it until you get it broke in.
